B&B Ireland now offers a free app in the iTunes Store that lets you browse and book B&B’s from your iPhone or iPod Touch. The free iPhone App allows you to search for B&B’s and book through the app. It features a map, images, directions and details for all the featured B&B’s. Visitors can search for B&B’s within a specific radius of their location through GPS technology.

Categorisation and Classification of B&B’s

Categorisation of B&B’s is about to be launched. Packages will be available later in the year to include Walking, Angling, Adventure Seekers, Eco-Friendly, Farmstay, Golf and much more.

B&B’s have also been classified and the classification scheme incorporates a 3*, 4* and 5* rating which endeavours to meet and exceed consumer expectations and cater for the needs of today’s consumers. The objective of the classification scheme is to allow consumers recognise quality and to differentiate levels of facilities and services. The scheme offers far greater information and transparency for the consumer.
